Process Engineer/Senior Material Scientist/Engineer

CVD Equipment Corporation is looking for one or more Junior and Senior material scientist/engineer to either contribute to or lead one of our process development projects related to thin film solar cells and/or other energy related thin film processing  and participate in the support of our manufacturing equipment and in-house process developments.

Responsibilities: (depending on job level)

1. Support or lead one of various thin film deposition process development projects using mostly chemical vapor deposition (CVD) methods.
2. Support or lead Transparent Conductive Oxide APCVD coating process development
3. Support or lead Photovoltaic coating processes on glass using APCVD methods
4. Support other ongoing process developments
5. Support and/or lead in grant writing opportunities and fulfilling respective obligations
6. Work with engineering team to develop solar cell manufacturing equipment
7. Work with engineering team to develop energy related thin film coating equipment
8. Perform or lead electrical, SEM, optical and functional characterizations efforts
9. Communicate with process, production, R&D, and engineers
10. Analyze data and generate reports describing the relationship of the various process parameters to targeted specification parameters
11. Design experiments and implement and/or supervise their implementations and assist or lead the respective data analysis
12. Support or lead process technology transfer and system startup support to US and non US customers

Requirement:

1. Master degree minimum, PhD degree (preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Mechanic Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 3 years hands on experience
1. in thin film deposition process development using CVD or
2. solar cell manufacturing or
3. other related process developments
3. Experience in solar cell manufacturing or TCO coating is a plus.
4. Good analysis skills
5. Good verbal and written communication skills
6. Able to be productive in multi tasking and multi priority environment
7. Able to travel overseas
8. Good team communication skills and/or leadership skills
9. Be creative, observant, supportive, safe and support related activities
