Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Responsible for Mechanical Assembly and Quality Control of manufactured products. Constructs and assembles equipment frames, cabinets, chambers, mechanisms and fluid plumbing from raw materials, purchased parts and sub-assemblies. Fabricates and mounts panels and fixtures for mechanical, control and electrical systems. Uses various power and hand tools, instruments and equipment to build, test, move and package products ready for shipment. Meets production schedules to ensure on-time shipments, and controls labor hours to meet manufacturing budgets. Follows defined manufacturing techniques and processes to provide product quality assurance. Inspects vendor-supplied parts and sub-assemblies to control quality of incoming materials. Troubleshoots faulty mechanisms and systems and corrects problems. Provides in-house and field Technical Support to customers.

Qualifications

Must have experience with prior mechanical assembly of automated control systems. Semiconductor or Industrial capital equipment manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience with heating, pneumatic, gas handling and vacuum technologies preferred.

Must be experienced with various hand tools. Experience with Welding (TIG, MIG, ATW) and Machine Shop equipment preferred.

Must hold valid Driver's License and be authorized to work in the US.
