First Nano Ships The First EasyTube™ FED System For Field Emission Display Research

Santa Barbara, CA, December 6, 2004 – First Nano has recently developed and shipped the first EasyTube™ FED System, a low temperature carbon nanotube deposition system designed to accommodate a 14-inch x 18-inch glass substrate sample specifically intended for field emission display (FED) application research and development.

Cary Chee, CEO of First Nano said, “We're excited to bring to market a low temperature direct carbon nanotube deposition system that offers a solution to researchers who are looking for in-situ growth of carbon nanotubes on large glass substrates”.

The EasyTube™ FED System enables researchers a safe, repeatable method of synthesizing carbon nanotubes by using a chemical vapor deposition technique, without the need of plasma or vacuum.

Current field emission display commercial products include flat panel displays, personal computers and other high-tech electronic display products.
