First Nano Designs Next-Generation EasyTube™ FED System
Santa Barbara, CA, July 21, 2004 – First Nano has designed and developed the next-generation EasyTube™ System specifically intended for field emission display (FED) technology, application research and development.
Cary Chee, CEO of First Nano said “We are thrilled to be chosen by a prominent research institute in the Asian Pacific region to develop the EasyTube™ FED System, a chemical vapor deposition system for producing nanotubes or nanowires directly onto large glass substrates for FED devices. The EasyTube FED will allow research to transition into product prototyping and manufacturing capability, which is a major step toward the commercialization of nanomaterials-based FED devices and technology.”
Asia represents one of the largest markets for FED research and technology development. It is expected that the global industrial R&D community will benefit from the new tool turnkey features and large substrate sample size area.
Current field emission display commercial products include flat panel displays, personal computers and other high-tech electronic display products.
First Nano provides specialized solutions for process control challenges unique to the nanotechnology field and focuses on addressing specific application needs by applying broad experience in nanotechnology instrumentation and fabrication.
