Electrical Technician Job Description Responsible for Electrical Wiring and System Operation of manufactured products. Wires and assembles electrical circuits and systems from raw materials, purchased parts and sub-assemblies. Fabricates and installs wiring harnesses, ducts and track, cabling, instrumentation, printed circuit boards and modules. Assists in testing partially and fully completed systems to product and customer specifications. Meets production schedules to ensure on-time shipments, and controls labor hours to meet manufacturing budgets. Follows defined manufacturing techniques and processes to provide product quality assurance. Inspects vendor-supplied parts and sub-assemblies to control quality of incoming materials. Troubleshoots faulty components and systems and corrects problems. Provides in-house and field Technical Support to customers. Qualifications ASET, ASMT or similar degree, plus suitable experience in Semiconductor, Nanotechnology or comparable industry segment. Candidate with exceptional experience may be exempt from degree requirements. Must have experience with prior electrical assembly of automated control systems. Semiconductor or Industrial capital equipment manufacturing experience preferred. Must be experienced with various hand tools and measurement instruments (Calipers, DMMs, Scopes).
